THE ART OF BEING PLEASANT
Keeping The Power of Love
I am not much of a shopper but from time to time I will summons the nerve to go to a super mall such as the Town Center Mall, the closest to my home. A few days ago I felt brave. I boldly drove to the Mall and soon discovered as I tried desperately to stay out of everybody’s way that it would indeed prove once again to be a challenge. It felt good as I milled around from store to store day dreaming about how the different fashions would look on me and how I could manipulate my budget to buy a pair of shoes that absolutely had my name invisibly printed on them. Then it occurred to me that no one that I made eye contact with appeared to be happy.

TRUE CELEBRATION
Thanksgiving and Christmas walk hand in hand down the path of the economy. It is the busiest time of the year with shoppers purchasing yearly gifts, first time gift, office gift, Felix the Cat a gift, wife a gift, husband a gift, neighbor a gift, and the list continues. All the spending of course, consummates to a small bank roll being expended. Not a bad deal for the big money people who control the businesses that is frequent by the consumer. If there were a gift worthwhile, could it be peace, love or charity? Could those gifts transcend to family, community and the truth of God?...Can we begin with the word LOVE?
