REMEMBERING DR. MARTIN LUTHER KING, JR.
Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr

Sometimes, echoing in the wind, I hear a voice that is so familiar that it commands my attention. It is the voice of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., speaking to the world as though he never left. Somewhere among the trees that whisper and the seas that wash our shores, he lingers. Never far from the consciousness of humanity. I listen because his words still ring clear and true to my ears. The words character, honor, love and faith have a everlasting meaning in my life because he spoke and defined them in a manner that should never be forgotten.
Each time the drum beat in my heart, it is Dr. King's "Drum Major" speech that keeps me seeking justice and peace. Next time you are walking the beaches, hiking the mountains trails or just sitting alone in meditation, listen for his voice as it resounds "Free at last," and other compelling words that do inspire and remind us that the work is NOT over. He embraced the concept of God and lead us to the beginning. We must NOT allow it to be translated as an ending. "I Have A Dream."

Unshrink wool sweaters: Mix two tablespoons of baby shampoo in one gallon of lukewarm water. Soak the garment for 10 minutes. Do not rinse--blot excess water with a dry towel. Lay the garment flat on a fresh towel. Reshape it slowly back to it original size. Dry it away from heat and direct sunlight (Recommendation from the Wool Bureau)
Communicate more effectively Even if your solution or point of view is better than the other person's position, nothing poisons a disagreement faster than confused thoughts and faulty logic. Both lead quickly to misunderstandings and mutual disrespect. Example: A long, uninterrupted monologue--in which you dictate to the other person what you want--is a bad way to disagree. Instead of a lecture, have a conversation in which you each have a chance to present your views--and respond.
Rainy day cure for dog odor. Next time your dog comes in from the rain, simply wipe down the animal with any dryer sheet, instantly making your dog smell springtime fresh.

Minnie E. Miller, Author and member of the Marguerite Press Group, has a winner in THE SEDUCTION OF MR. BRADLEY. Be sure to check it out...This week a couple of PR personnel contacted me about becoming a part of the team....My God, the average fee is $1000 a month and they call that low end!...my...my...the journey of an Author gets crazy....But it seems every profession has a specific job and a specific fee...I thought about changing professions but opt to stay with writing...mmmmm...ok...oh yes... Another author on the scene with good reading is Dwan Abrams...I have mentioned her before and her book ONLY TRUE LOVE WAITS is da bomb! I have much to talk about but must wait for the ok from the filmmaker...Peace.
POETRY THAT FEEDS THE SOUL
WHAT IS LOVE
WHAT DO YOU SEE WHEN YOU LOOK AT ME
DOES YOUR REARING REJECT THE IMAGES
CAN YOU EXPRESS THE GIFT THAT SIGHT HAS CONFERRED
OR IS IT JUST A MIRAGE WHERE APPROVAL IS EXTERNAL
SPIRITUALITY AT ITS BEST WOULD GO AMONG THE MANY ATTEMPTS IN DEFINING LOVE
MARRIED TO EMOTIONS IN A BED OF INFINITY
THE MANY FORKS OF LOVE ARE BEST LEFT AT THE DISCRETION OF THE HEART
AND SO BE IT, STILL A MYSTERY
WHERE LOVE IS LEFT ALONE IN ITS OWN DEFENSE
CRYING TEARS FOR NO ONE IN ITS MANY DEFINITIONS.
LOVE IS NOT, NOR CAN IT EVER BE
MEASURED BY ANY PHYSICAL MEANS
FOR AT BEST THE SENSES WILL TAKE CONTROL
AND IN SO DOING EVALUATE OR AFFIRM
BLESSED ARE THE SOULS THAT TRANSCEND THE TANGIBLE
A SOUL THAT MOVES SILENTLY PASS DOUBTS
A SOUL THAT YEARNS FOR THE SPIRITUAL
WHERE LOVE IS DEFINED BY FEELINGS AND MEASURED
ONLY BY THE CONCURRING SOULS
